The International Conference of Experts on “Gender and Sustainable Urban Development in the post-pandemic” will put Valencia at the center of the international debate on October 21 and 22. This meeting, organized by the UNESCO Chair in Gender in Science, Technology and Innovation and AGGI UN Habitat (Gender Advisory Group of the Executive Director of UN-Habitat) and sponsored by the Regional Ministry of Territorial Policy, Public Works and Mobility, will outline the new models of inclusive cities that have emerged in the context of COVID-19 and aimed at promoting gender equality in urban planning.
The Administrative City 9 d’Octubre will be the epicenter of this conference, which will bring together reference speakers capable of creating a framework for knowledge transfer and exchange of experiences that will define international standards of gender equality and women’s empowerment in order to project future steps for the implementation of actions applicable to governments at national, regional and local levels.
