The International Conference “Gender and Sustainable Urban Development in the post-pandemic”, to be held in Valencia on October 21 and 22, can be followed live from anywhere in the world through the official website https://aggi21.gendersteunescochair.com. In fact, registrations are already available on that page.
The event is sponsored by the Regional Ministry of Territorial Policy, Public Works and Mobility, and organized by the UNESCO Chair of Gender in Science, Technology and Innovation of the Polytechnic University of Madrid and AGGI UN-Habitat (Advisory Group on Gender Issues of the Executive Director of UN-Habitat). It will also be possible to follow live online all the presentations and round tables scheduled during the two-day program, as well as the opening and closing speeches.
In this way, the connected public will be able to listen to key speakers in this field, who will present the international standards of gender equality in order to project the future steps for the implementation of governance actions at national, regional and local level in terms of inclusive urban planning. In this sense, the various round tables will address initiatives and good practices that promote the empowerment of women developed in different continents.
The General Assembly of Partners (GAP), Women’s New European Bauhaus (WNEB), the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Valencia (ETSAV), the Federico II University of Napoles, the National University of Cordoba (Argentina) and the Association of Women Architects of Spain (AMAE) are part of the list of collaborating entities of the event.
